For you who are infatuated with all the shape of CD, must be so sad if the CD or DVD in your collections get dirty. But you do not have to worry, because there are 6 steps that you can choose to clean up your priceless CD and DVD collection.
Something you should remember before tried any of these steps, that the disc media is very complicated and you may damage the shiny reflective surface if you are not careful.
1) Soft Weft Wipe
If your CD is dirty because of dust, use a piece of soft weft to wipe the dust. To hold the CD, enter your finger inside the center hole or you can handle CD on the edges but do not touch the shiny surface.
2) Baby Shampoo Method
If you feel sticky or greasy in the CD surface, mixed any baby shampoo with lukewarm water and use this mixture to rub gently the CD surface with cotton or soft weft. Dry of the CD before putting it back in the CD case.
3) Alcohol Formula
When there are fingerprints on your CD surface, dip a soft weft in Alcohol, Ethanol, or Methanol and gently wipe the CD surface. Do not exert a petroleum based solvent like acetone because that will permanently damage the CD surface.
4) Mineral Water Technique
You can use mineral water as a replacement material based on the alcohol to clean the dirty CD surface. Do not use tap water, because it has more salts concentration that makes white marks on your CD surface.
5) Wipe Motion
Never make concentric wipe when you clean the CD surface, but move your soft weft or cotton from center hole of your CD to the outer edge or with non-radial back and forth motion.
6) Polish Product Step
